A unique record of shame
2009 up till now hasn’t been a great year for Bollywood films. There are heavy expectations from upcoming biggies and Bollywood is expecting to create new records to wipe out their old losses. But just days back a unique record of sorts came into light for the first time in Bollywood history.
This Friday, all eyes on PAYING GUESTS
Ok, so Bollywood is still not smiling even though the producers have called off the strike. Last week’s two releases, KAL KISSNE DEKHA as well as ZOR LAGAA KE HAIYA have failed at the box office, hence breaking hearts of quite a few out there who believed that Bollywood draught will finally be over, what with at least the Jackky Bhagnani starrer expected to take a good start at the box office.
KKD, ZLKH add on to long list of 2009 flops
Both Hindi releases that arrived over the weekend gone by, Kal Kissne Dekha and Zor Lagaa Ke Haiya, have failed at the box office. While former was a much publicized and promoted launch vehicle of Jackky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai, the latter was just not promoted at all in spite of the presence of Mithun Chakravorty.

Her child-woman features made quick a few hearts skip a beat and one instantly knew that she pretty much fitted into the bracket when there was a requirement for an urban chic girl. She was always visualised as someone who was extremely stylish, fashionable and ultra cute, as evidenced in her subsequent movies like DIL VIL PYAAR VYAAR, JHANKAAR BEATS, QAYAMAT, PLAN and SHAADI NO. 1 to name a few. No one could have ever imagined her to be anything lesser, least of all being a construction worker.
