UK based Bollywood Entertainment Limited have now set up their operations in India. They are also partners of the most popular portal of blu-rays the world over. They are now making a platform available for sale of existing and forthcoming wide range of blu-ray discs from Indian Home Entertainment companies. Through their e-commerce website bollywoodblu-ray they are pushing online sales of Blu-ray discs in India.
Sivaji turn’s producer
Sivaji, who earned a recognition as an artiste, turned a producer and purchased the remake rights of a successful Kannada film ‘Taj Mahal’ and is making it in Telugu with the same title under his own banner Sri Sivaji Productions. The logo of the film was launched by Dr D Ramanaidu recently.
Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan win TN State Government Awards
Tamil Nadu Government has announced the winners list of State Government Awards for 2007 and 2008. Reigning superstars Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan have won the best actor awards for ‘Sivaji’ (2007) and ‘Dasavatharam’ (2008). Actress Jyothika has been felicitated with best actress for her spellbinding performance in ‘Mozhi’ (2007) and actress Sneha for ‘Pirivoam Sandipoam’ in 2008.
‘Udata Udata Ooch…’ logo unveiled
Chitram Sreenu, Vijayabhaskar and Akshay are playing the heroes in ‘Udata Udata Ooch…’ directed by Murali Ganesh and produced by Rajesh Thadakala under the banner of BV Ventures. Naresh, Sivaji and Varun Sandesh jointly unveiled the title logo at a function held recently.
Deva Katta to direct ‘Prasthanam’
Director Deva Katta of Vennela-fame is going to direct ‘Prasthanam’ to be produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni, one of the producers of ‘Vennela’, on the banner of VRC Media and Entertainments, with Sharwanand as hero. Producer says, ‘Deva Katta showed exemplary talent as director, writer and lyricist in Vennela. He prepared a fantastic story and is bringing it out for us. Sai Kumar is playing a key role in this movie. The story of film will have Vijayawada in its backdrop. Mahesh Shankar, who scored music for ‘Vennela’ is again working for this movie. Savita Singh, who worked for ‘Phoonk’ of Ramgopal Varma and earned laurels for her expertise had agreed to wield camera for our movie.’
