Ravana and Rajneeti -Birds of a feather
The two big budget epic films, Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ravana’ and Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’, which are based on the Ramayana and Mahabharata respectively will be releasing around the same time. But while both films were scheduled to release in February 2010, the multiplex owners strike and a few other issues have pushed the release date onto May 2010.

Kamal Haasan appreciates Shobana
Talented danseuse and actress Shobana was praised by actor Kamal Haasan recently during the DVD launch of her dance drama Maya Ravan. Kamal, who is currently working on his film, Unnaipol Oruvan, believes the drama has a lot of elements to attract audiences and that it should do really well.
