Following the grand success of ‘Endhiran’, Superstar Rajnikanth is on cloud nine with incredible laurels. Meanwhile, the expectations about the actor’s next film have become the topic of the day for media channels and his fans. Earlier, it was mentioned that Rajnikanth would either work on a sequel to ‘Baasha’ or ‘Chandramukhi’, which is an unconfirmed buzz till date.
Right from her childhood, Hansika Motwani has been riding with a successful career in the film industry. The actress has been ennobled as one of the stunning hotties of South Indian film industry and has shared screen space with almost all the top-charting superstars of Tollywood. Now she is all set to make her debut in the amil film industry and has already completed shooting for a couple of films.
Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai starrer ‘Endhiran’ also known as Robot was able to take people into a world of artificial intelligence where Chitti was loved and one had compassion for him and the feeling he developed for Sana. On the other hand, it is difficult to put a finger on the emotions that runs while seeing Ram Gopal Verma’s Rakta Charitra, but one definitely feels the gruesomeness that the film portrays.
“Endhiran” has become a raging hit in the country, breaking not only box office records and raking in the moolah for its producers, but also starting a debate on whether the Khans are the real superstars of India! And while the common man has stood in long queues to take a look at the Rajinikanth antics even at wee hours in the morning, Bollywood belles are not to be left far behind in the race to show their love for the south superhero.
Apart from the very fact that both are India’s first sci-fi thrillers, there turns to be yet another connection between these flicks. It all started after the release of superstar Rajnikanth’s Endhiran. Soon after watching the film Robot (Hindi version of Endhiran), it seems that SRK called for a SOS meeting with his technicians to make some changes in his script. It was all about adding more emotional quotients to this sci-fi thriller.
Jr. NTR’s Brindaavanam is going to release shortly and Tollywood is abuzz with the news that this movie will become a huge hit. Three big movies were released in October prior to Brindaavanam, out of the three movies Rajnikanth starrer Robot was a huge hit which had the entire nation thronging to the theaters. On the other hand, Mahesh khaleja failed to impress the audience and went down without a trace. Komaram Puli was a dud at the box office as well.
Marriage of Rajnikanth’s Daughter Soundarya
On Monday evening, Rajnikanth’s warm and unparalleled gesture of bringing Robot to Mumbai personally for a special screening for his Bollywood friends culminated in a horrendous mess with the sound being completely disrupted in the 7th reel, leading to a long, embarrassing and unscheduled break just before the crucial climax of the film.
In its opening weekend, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ has managed to boast of collections in the vicinity of 30 crores which is quite good considering the fact that the film had not been given a massive release a la ‘Dabangg’ which has 20-25 shows running in one single multiplex. The release of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, going by its genre, was well spread out though with 10-15 shows being an order of the day. As was predicted in this column last week, the film did eventually take an opening of over 70%, hence turning out to be pretty safe on the first day itself.
