Filmy Ex-Politician takes law in hands
After garnering loads of applauds for his mind-blowing performance in Anurag Kashyap’s Gulaal, Abhimanyu Singh is all set for his next venture titled Omar. Actually, Omar is one of the five short films in a film titled I Am. The film will be directed by Onir. Apart from Abhimanyu Singh; Rahul Bose and Saheel Seghal have been roped in the film.
Mahie Gill bags Salman Khan Starrer
Dev D gal Mahie Gill seems to be fast moving up the success ladder in Bollywood, despite being two-three films old she has managed to bag a Salman Khan starrer.
It is learnt from industry sources that she has been signed on for Arbaaz Khan’s maiden production Dabangg starring Salman Khan and Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha. This film is being directed by writer-director Anurag Kashyap’s younger brother Abhinav Kashyap. She however is paired opposite Arbaaz Khan in the film and not Salman.
Irrfan had got injured while shooting Pan Singh Tomar
It is learnt that actor Irrfan Khan had torn the ligament of his right ankle while he was shooting for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Pan Singh Tomar few weeks back. He had then immediately returned to Mumbai following which his doctor ruled out any action.
Mahi Gill looking forward to exciting offers
Mahi Gill created a great impression with her debut act in Anurag Kashyap’s Dev.D. She delivered another good performance in Kashyap’s Gulaal which released just a month after Dev.D. Since many film offers are coming her way from big names.
Mahie Gill – By nature, I am a shy person
If one has a quick glance over promising actors who have just made an entry in Bollywood during last four months, one of the first names that comes to the mind is Mahie Gill. With her performance being noticed in both DEV D and GULAAL, Mahie is certainly making her presence felt loud and clear.
CENSORS become liberal, allow foul language in Bollywood films

Out of the five movies which released over the weekend gone by, three of them had one thing in common – liberal usage of swear words. Whether it was STRAIGHT, FIRAAQ or BARAH AANA, each of the films had it’s protagonists using swear words in abundance. However, the surprising part was to hear the beep sound every now and then in BARAH AANA. So while Censors did allow STRAIGHT and FIRAAQ to retain the words in the final print, when it came to BARAH AANA, it was a different approach altogether.

GULAAL doesn’t spray color at the box office
GULAAL hasn’t exactly sprayed color at the box office if the collections over the week gone by are any indication. The opening was quite low all over with around 30% occupancy. Though such opening was pretty much on the cards due to the film’s theme and star cast, one expected (especially after seeing the high voltage promos of the film), that the overall narrative too will be quite powerful.
