Simha in Ramoji film city

Balakrishna is playing the title role in ‘Simha’ directed by Boyapati Sreenu and producd by Paruchuri Kireeti on the banner of United Movies. Sneha Ullal, Namita and Nayanatara are playing the female leads in the movie. The producer says, ‘Balakrishna is portraying a character which would be liked by one and all. The righteousness and his performance of the character would definitely impress all the audiences whether it is mass or family audiences. Two more songs are yet to be choreographed for the movie in specially erected sets. We will launch the shooting of those songs from March 17. We are planning a song on Balakrishna, Sneha Ullal and Namita and another song on Balakrishna and Sneha Ullal. Presently re-recording is in progress.

Sindhu Menon is playing the title role in ‘Subhadra’ directed by Raja Vannemreddy and produced by Srikanth Goud under the banner of Srikanth Talkies. The film’s logo was launched recently.

‘Golimaar’ of Puri Jagannath begins shooting

The muhurat shot for ‘Golimaar’ directed and produced by Puri Jagannath on the banner of Vaishno Academy was done with the ‘switching on’ of the camera by health minister Danam Nagender in Hyderabad recently at the production office. The muhurat shot was picturised on the Gods’ portraits at Vaishno Academy office in Madhapur. It is worth mentioning here that Puri Jagannath had earlier produced several films on Vaishno Academy banner like ‘Idiot, Sivamani and Pokiri’. Speaking on the occasion, Puri says, ‘This film will have Gopichand in the role of an encounter specialist.

Finally, producers of UTV Motion Pictures have confirmed about the release of ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’. They’ve made an official announcement that the film will hit the screens on September 18 for the occasion of Ramzan.

‘Gopi Gopika Godavari’ is directed by Vamsi and produced by Valluripalli Ramesh; under the banner of Maharshi Cinema.

The film stars Venu and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead.

Deva Katta to direct ‘Prasthanam’

Director Deva Katta of Vennela-fame is going to direct ‘Prasthanam’ to be produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni, one of the producers of ‘Vennela’, on the banner of VRC Media and Entertainments, with Sharwanand as hero. Producer says, ‘Deva Katta showed exemplary talent as director, writer and lyricist in Vennela. He prepared a fantastic story and is bringing it out for us. Sai Kumar is playing a key role in this movie. The story of film will have Vijayawada in its backdrop. Mahesh Shankar, who scored music for ‘Vennela’ is again working for this movie. Savita Singh, who worked for ‘Phoonk’ of Ramgopal Varma and earned laurels for her expertise had agreed to wield camera for our movie.’

‘Gopi… Gopika…Godavari…’ on May 28th

Directed by Vamsee and produced by Valluripalli Ramesh on the banner of Maharshi Cinema ‘Gopi… Gopika…Godavari…’ with Venu and Kamalini Mukherjee in the lead, is all set for release on May 28. The producer says, ‘When we just think of a film from director Vamsee, the audiences would immediately say that ‘Godavari’ would be a part of it. In our film, the hero and heroine are Gopi and Gopika, the River Godavari would also be another character in this film. It is a beautiful and delicate love story with a mix of entertainment.
