The curtain has lifted over CINTAA Superstars ka jalwa as Star Plus today launched their extravagant reality show . Living truly to its name, Superstars ka jalwa is graced by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Salman and other biggies of Bollywood. The show goes on air from 21 March at 9.00 pm.

Amitabh Bachchan to record the original version of Madhushala

: We have grown up hearing the lines of Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s ‘Madhushala’ as sung by the great Manna Dey and composed by the fabulous Jaidev. But now comes the surprise. Harivanshrai Bachchan’s equally distinguished son, Amitabh Bachchan, has, in his hands, the lines of ‘Madhushala’ as created by his father. The fact that the immortal Harivanshrai Bachchan had actually composed a tune for his lines comes as a complete surprise. Says Amitabh Bachchan, “I sang ‘Madhushala’ recently at a live performance the way my father had composed and sung it. That is the original tune for ‘Madhushala’. My father sang it that way from day one, with no orchestra of course.”

Who will stand at par with -My Name Is Khan

To shake the position of ‘My Name Is Khan’, which is still minting box-office moolah, the releases this Friday have to be really exceptional to make its way to the audience’s heart. The magic of ‘3 Idiots’ can’t be ignored either; its long run at the box-office just endorses the fact that audience won’t mind shelling out for good films, irrespective of it being an old release. This gives a tough competition to new weekly releases as happened with ‘Toh Baat Pakki’ and ‘Click’ that failed to leave a mark on cine-goers mind, although ’Click’ has done fairly well, but Tabu’s matrimonial drama fell flat like a house of cards.

Amitabh Bachchan s inputs gave a new dimension to -Teen Patti

The director of ‘Teen Patti’, Leena Yadav, has been very particular when the issue has been the scripting of her films. Hence, so far, she has written all the scripts of her films. Amidst a somewhat difficult time during the making of ‘Teen Patti’, she requested the assistance of Amitabh Bachchan and, fortunately, he came to the rescue by giving his valuable inputs on the script.

Surya teams up with Big B and Mohan Lal

Major Ravi is directing a film based on the Kandahar plane hijack incident. Actor Surya has been approached to do the commando role in this film. Major Ravi had earlier directed a film titled Aran that features Jeeva and Mohan Lal in lead roles.
