While Naseeruddin Shah at 60 would be Priyanka Chopra’s oldest husband in ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ (earlier entitled ‘Ek Bataa Saath’) Neil Nitin Mukesh has just been signed to play her youngest husband.
It was all about looking into future for Akshay Kumar (8X10 Tasveer), Neil Nitin Mukesh (Aa Dekhen Zara), Madhavan (13 B), Jackky Bhagnani (Kal Kissne Dekha) and Hurman Baweja (Love Story 2050). However, when it comes to playing characters belonging to a different era, actors today are more excited about stepping into the 60s and the 70s and exploring the times that have been left behind.
Eros Entertainment’s Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu starrer Aa Dekhen Zara fell victim to the producers v/s multiplexes stand off and was not released in the multiplexes. The film had released on March 27th when the production and distribution sectors were all geared up to suspend all new releases indefinitely in a bid to boycott the seven warring multiplex chains. The film was a box office failure and within three weeks of its release, Aa Dekhen Zara’s DVDs and VCDs were officially out in the market.
Bipasha Basu is excited that Eros International has finally re release their last venture Aa Dekhen Zara once again across multiplexes on June 12. The film re-release across 170 screens all over India.
Industry sources reveal that the popular Bourne Trilogy seems to have inspired two upcoming biggies. The two films that seem heavily inspired by the Matt Damon starrer spy thriller trilogy are Saif Ali Khan’s home production Agent Vinod and Abhinay Deo’s (Delhi Belly) tentatively titled Crooked starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai (with both surprisingly not paired opposite each other) along with Gul Panag and Jimmy Shergill.
The Beedi Jalaile girl Bipasha Basu is amongst the top favorites nowadays for any awards functions for performing to her hit dance numbers. So it was no surprise when the dusky beauty was taken on to perform for a tribute to the music of 70’s at a Music awards function. The Aa Dekhen Zara actress was all set to enthrall the audience with her performance when she realized there was malfunction with her skirt and the prop that she was planning to use in the performance.
‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ is a common adage heard whenever a conversation veers towards future. Time and again one wonders about what future has in hold for us but the end result is always a casual shrug of shoulders.
Bollywood is sinking deeper and deeper and audience seems to be on a divorce pact with theaters this season. Yet another week went by and the numbers pretty much tell the tale that the color red continues to dominate Bollywood report card. AA DEKHEN ZARA, EK – THE POWER OF ONE and VIDESH – HEAVEN ON EARTH have all turned out to be flops, hence making the list further longer when it comes to box office disappointments.
The shapely actress cum singer Sophie Chaudhary can be quiet a prankster on her sets if she decides to. She has been using her innocent looks to fool her co-stars nowadays on her film’s sets.
