South Indian film industry and Bollywood have always remade films of each other and there have been a mutual give and take relationship. The ideas of Bollywood are followed by South films and vice versa. The latest in this line is Tollywood star Victory Venkatesh, who is going to follow Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan by playing a paraplegic character in his next film Savitri.
Venkatesh will be seen following Hrithik’s paraplegic character in Guzaarish in Savitri, which is being directed by Teja. Guzaarish could not do much business at the Box Office but Hrithik received critical acclamation for playing this challenging role. He was on a wheelchair most of the time in the film but Venky will have to play the paraplegic character for a brief part.
Director Teja is planning to start shooting of the movie in this month. Venkatesh has proved his acting skills in Tollywood as well as Bollywood in his more two decades long career in the film industry. He has played many challenging roles and won awards as best actor. There are total 4 ‘Filmfare Awards’ and 7 ‘Nandi Awards’ in his kitty till date. So we can expect a wonderful performance from the actor in his paraplegic role also. –Sampurn
