Veeru-Manoj combo begins shooting

Shooting of a film directed by Veeru Potla, presented by ATV and produced by Sunkara Ramabrahmam on the banner of AK Entertainments with Manchu Manojkumar as hero was launched at Ramanaidu Cine Village in Nanakramguda recently. Dr Dasari Narayana Rao gave the clap, while K Raghavendra Rao switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised under the honorary direction of Padma Shri Dr Mohanbabu. Speaking on the occasion, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao says, ‘Veeru Potla is quite smart right from the days he worked with us in direction department. I am also playing a key role in this movie.’ Director Veeru Potla says, ‘The film is getting as a youth, action and family entertainer. I am very happy that a director’s hero like Manoj is working with my debut film. We are planning our first schedule from June 11 to 21. We will wrap up shooting by October.’ Manoj says, ‘When I was branded a flop hero, Sunkara Ramabrahmam came forward to make a film. In fact, my combination with Veeru had to have taken shape long ago. I am sure that the film coming up in our combination would be a big hit.’ Viswanath Kasi says, ‘I am playing the hero’s father in this movie.’ Sheena is playing the female lead, while Vijayakumar, Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash Reddy, Ahuti Prasad, Sunil, MS Narayana, Master Bharat, Subbaraju, Benarjee, Pruthvi, Jeeva, Sangeeta, Rajita, Sakuntala and others are in the cast. Lyrics are by Bhuvanachandra, music is by Bobo Sasi and camera is by Ramesh Babu. -Sampurn
