Deva Katta to direct ‘Prasthanam’

Director Deva Katta of Vennela-fame is going to direct ‘Prasthanam’ to be produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni, one of the producers of ‘Vennela’, on the banner of VRC Media and Entertainments, with Sharwanand as hero. Producer says, ‘Deva Katta showed exemplary talent as director, writer and lyricist in Vennela. He prepared a fantastic story and is bringing it out for us. Sai Kumar is playing a key role in this movie. The story of film will have Vijayawada in its backdrop. Mahesh Shankar, who scored music for ‘Vennela’ is again working for this movie. Savita Singh, who worked for ‘Phoonk’ of Ramgopal Varma and earned laurels for her expertise had agreed to wield camera for our movie.’

‘Akasa Ramanna’ on June 19

Directed by Ashok and produced by Manyam Ramesh on the banner of Mayam Entertainments, ‘Akasa Ramanna’ with Sivaji, Naresh, Rajiv Kanakala, Meera Jasmine and Gowri Pundit in the lead is ready to hit the screen on June 19. Producer says, ‘Most of the film occurs in the night. There was a very good suspense though not a thriller. We preferred the film as an entertainer. There are three heroes and who among them is Akasa Ramanna is a question and could be known after watching the film. We made the film to attract all classes of audiences. We are making efforts to release the film on June 19. There is only one song in the movie. Nagababu, Madhusharma, Venumadhav, Rao Ramesh, MS Narayana and others are in the cast. Music is by Chakri.
