‘Sivangi’ begins shooting

Shooting of ‘Sivangi’ with Archana playing the title role, directed by Thota Krishna and produced by VR Babu on the banner of Telugu Creations was launched at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad recently. Dr D Ramanaidu gave the clap, NV Subbaraju switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised under the honorary direction of P Chandrasekhar Reddy. Speaking on the occasion, director Krishna says, ‘We are bringing out the film with all commercial elements. It is being readied as a romantic and action film. We are happy to announce that Archana is playing dual roles in this lady-oriented film.’ Thriller Manju says, ‘After a long gap, I am playing a role in a Telugu film, besides providing action choreography.’ Archana says, ‘My character in ‘Sivangi’ would give me immense satisfaction as an artiste. I am also doing fights in this movie. I am playing dual roles in this film and both of them are very different from each other and had two different shades.’ Producer VR Babu says, ‘We are planning to continue the schedule for about 40 days at a stretch and complete the shooting of the talkie part. We are planning to choreograph the songs in Bangkok.’ Nazar, Satya Prakash, Suman Setty, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Krishna Bhagawan, Rami Reddy, Kallu Chidambaram, Bhanupriya, Telangana Sakuntala, Sangeeta, and others are in the cast. Dialogues are by Dasam Venkatrao, lyrics are by Suddala Ashokteja and Gorati Venkanna, music is by Vandemataram Srinivas, cinematography is by Adusumilli Vijayakumar, while story, screenplay and direction are by Thota Krishna. -Sampurn
