Tamil star Rajinikanth, who was reportedly close to deceased actor Vishnuvardhana, is in plans to remake the Kannada star’s recent flick, ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ into Tamil.

September 18 release for Bellary Naga
Dr. Vishnuvardhana’s film, Bellary Naga, has completed its shooting and is now in the pre-production stage. Director Dinesh babu’s film will have Dr. Vishnu in a completely new role and there is no heroine opposite him. Produced by K. Manju, the film was shot in Mysore, Bangalore and Bellary.
Shruthi’s Birthday Gift
Kannada actress Shruthi, who made headlines after filing for divorce from her director husband S. Mahendar at a Bangalore court, is now back in the news. Her journalist boyfriend Chandrachood a.k.a. Chakravarthy has announced to start recording the songs for his film, Paramatma, on her birthday, September 18. He was earlier directing Janma, produced by Anekal Balraj. Now that Balraj’s project is postponed, Chakravarthy has resumed his film. The dialogues, story and screenplay of Paramatma are written by Chakravarthy himself and the film is produced by GM Reddy.
126 Days of Josh
The 126 days celebration of the film Josh was held at The Bell Hotel recently. The event was held on Friday evening and KCN Chandrasekhar, TS Nagabharana, Nagathihalli Chandrasekhar, Pal Chandani etc. were present among many others. Robo Ganesh gave superb performances on stage. All the actors of Josh came to receive awards.
Yogi to release soon
Popular villain turned hero, actor Yogi, is riding high. His films Nanda Nanditha and Ambari have been very successful and he is now hoping for his film Yogi to be more successful. The film directed by debutant director Udaya Prakaash, is awaiting its Censor Board certificate.
September 18 Launch for Upendra’s Film
Actor Upendra’s film is scheduled to start shooting on September 18, which also happens to be his birthday. He will be returning to directing his own films, after a long time with this film. According to sources, he will also be writing the story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics. Upendra is busy with giving his writing the final touches. The film will be made in three languages.

People in Srirampuram, Bangalore know just one Harishchandra Ghat– the graveyard. There is now a Kannada film with the same name. The film ‘Harishchandra Ghat’ is followed by the caption, ‘Last Stop.’
August 28 release for Cheluvina Chilipili
S. Narayan’s Cheluvina Chilipili is slated for an August 28 release. The film, which stars Pankaj and Roopika has completed the Censor Board formalities. The music of the film, composed by Micky J Meyers, released a while ago and was well received by audiences. The music of the film is by Micky J Meyers while Jagadish Waali is the cameraman.
