Varudu- to hit screen on March 26
Directed by Gunasekhar and produced by DVV Danaiah under the banner of Universal Media, ‘Varudu’ with Allu Arjun playing the title role and popular Tamil hero Arya playing the villain is getting ready for release on March 27. Speaking on the occasion, the producer says, ‘We have released the audio of ‘Varudu’ on Sunday. Allu Arjun’s performance and Gunasekhar’s taking would be the highlights of the movie.
Ranga The Donga- shooting in progress
Shooting of ‘Ranga The Donga’ directed by GV Sudhakar Naidu and produced by CR Manohar Naidu and GV himself under the joint banner of Golden Lions Films and God Father Films with Srikanth and Vimala Raman in the lead is progressing well in and around Hyderabad. Recently a mass song was choreographed involving Srikanth, Jyoti, Bhuvaneswaru, Taslima Sheik and hundreds of junior artistes. An action scenes was also shot earlier to the song.
Nana-s Telugu Debut
If all goes well, then Nana Patekar may just star in his first Telugu movie. Reliable sources from the industry say that talks are on between Nana and producer Allu Aravind, for the movie ‘Badrinath’. Touted to be a big-budget venture, ‘Badrinath’ will star the producer’s son, Allu Arjun. Apparently, he has to undergo a martial arts training session, in Bangkok, for the film, as soon as he completes his work in ‘Varudu’. Director V.V. Vinayak has a few innovative action sequences in mind, the sources add, therefore the attention to detail.
Song and dance in Thailand
‘Hasini’, starring Sandhya and Kamalakar, is almost complete, except for two songs. The unit plans to leave for Bangkok to shoot these songs from March 9 onwards. “We will shoot one song in Bangkok, and the other in Phuket. We intend to launch the music of the movie this month itself, and are planning an April release for the film,” says producer B Kamalakar Reddy.
K. B. lauds Gowtham
K.Balachandar, the veteran moviemaker known for his brilliant motifs and characterisations, is impressed with Gowtham Menon’s talent after watching the latter’s latest movie, ‘Vinnaithandi Vauvaaya’. In fact, he has personally congratulated Gowtham on a job well done, and has predicted that Gowtham can take Tamil cinema to a whole new level, along the lines of S. S. Vasan, A. V. Meiyappa Chettiyar, Bharathiraja, Mani Rathnam, and, of course K. Balachandar himself.
