Sajid Khan

A few weeks back, Sajid Khan had taken a dig on critics in an awards function. It appears that after ‘Heyy Babyy’, which was his debut directorial venture and did quite well in spite of mixed reviews, he seems to be having a bone to pick with the critics.

Katrina Kaif has visibly broken out of the mould of ‘westernised’ actor. This petite star can not only carry off Indian attire, she can also be quite graceful in it. Her look in the song, Teri Ore appealed to women across all age groups, from housewives to teenagers. Needless to say, she has been accepted in her avatar as the modern Indian young girl.

I have been enjoying a fairly balanced innings- Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor

His last major love story, ‘Jab We Met’, was a huge success and while his ‘Kismat Konnection’ did well as well, it was his coming-of-age film ‘Kaminey’ that brought him to the top bracket. However, his semi auto biographical ‘Chance Pe Dance’ didn’t quite entice the audience even though his act was unanimously appreciated by the audience. While he would next be seen in ‘Paathshala’, one can’t help but ask him this question – ‘How badly disappointed was he when the film couldn’t even manage a decent opening, let alone being rejected due to poor of word of mouth?’

Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai

Milap Zaveri is a young film maker who has either written the script or dialogues of films as diverse as ‘Masti’, ‘Kaante’, ‘Jhankaar Beats’, ‘Naksha’, ‘Heyy Babyy’, ‘Musafir’ and also ‘Housefull’. However, for his debut effort as a director, he chose to take an entirely different route. He roped in a fresh pair or Ritiesh Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez, sprinkled the film with funny moments, romantic sequences and youthful songs, and aimed at coming up with a product that would be an ideal recipe of a romcom affair.

Right Yaaa Wrong- struggles, IPL hits hard

By sampurn on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010
Right Yaaa Wrong

Despite Bollywood taking IPL heads on, it lost the battle at least on the opening Friday. No, a film like ‘Right Yaaa Wrong’ wasn’t expected to take a bumper response at the box office even if it would have arrived solo without any cricket matches being played anywhere in the world. Still, since the film turned out to be surprisingly quite well made, some flattering reviews coupled with very good word of mouth would have ensured that this Sunny Deol-Irrfan Khan starrer gets some eyeballs with every passing day. However, that was unfortunately not the case to be as the Friday opening was extremely poor. With mere 10%-20% opening response and only (relatively) better response in the remainder of the weekend, ‘Right Yaaa Wrong’ would now have to make an impression on the home video front.
