Entire Kapoor khandaan to be present for posthumous Dadasaheb Phalke honour for Prithviraj Kapoor

Dadasaheb Phalke Academy is organizing an award function on 4th May, to commemorate with 140th birth anniversary of Dadasaheb Phalke, at Bhaidas Auditorium, Vile Parle, Mumbai where many film dignitaries will be felicitated. The late Prithviraj Kapoor will be posthumously honoured with a Phalke Kalpataru Award at this function. It is learnt that Prithviraj Kapoor’s 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation members all shall be present to receive this grand honour. One can expect to see for the first time together at any event the entire living generations of the Kapoor Khandaan. Amongst the ones to be present can be Kapoor’s son Shashi Kapoor, grandson Randhir and Rishi Kapoor and great grand children Ranbir, Kareena and Karishma Kapoor too at this gala event.

Amongst other prominent dignitaries to be honoured that evening at the same event are among them are Manoj Kumar who will be conferred upon with, “Phalke Ratna Award’’, Shammi Kapoor with “Phalke Legend Actor Award” and Ms. Shamshad Begum with ‘’Phalke Golden Singer Award”. Ashutosh Govarikar will be the recipient of “Phalke Memorable Commercial Film Award” on this occasion where Mahesh Bhatt will be the chief guest and Harsh Vardhan Patil, Jitendra Jain, T. P. Agarwal, Manmohan Shetty, Ratan Jain and Dharmesh Tiwari will be guests of honour. -Sampurn
